Kick off your family's holiday season with Santa and his reindeer!

November 3, 2014

The Community Centre will be transformed into a Celebration of Lights on Saturday, November 15, 2014. This free, family friendly event features activities that mark the start of the holiday season, as well showcasing the Information and Volunteer Centre’s Festival of Trees.

The festivities take place from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and include a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Free activities include sleigh rides, live reindeer, petting zoo, festive hair creations, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, inflatables and so much more. Remember to share the holiday spirit by bringing a donation for the Strathcona Food Bank Association.

At 4:50 p.m., join the community countdown as the magic of the season comes alive when the digital tree is lit up, along with all the festive lights outside the Community Centre.

Residents are advised road closures will be in effect on Festival Avenue and Festival Lane from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on November 15. Free parking is available in the north parking lots, Community Centre underground parkade and at Festival Place.
