Are you a newcomer to Strathcona County? Are there parts of the culture you find confusing? Want to learn more about where to find out about resources and local life? We want to help you feel welcome, connect with others, and succeed in your new community.

Help decrease the stress of daily living, as you learn about important topics to help you adjust to your new community.

Participants will also share their successes with one another and give input into future topics and guest speakers. 

**There is no cost to attend**

  • connecting through volunteering
  • finding childcare
  • finance information 
  • healthcare options
  • work search tips and techniques and many more!

Who can attend: 

Strathcona County is becoming more diverse and multicultural. Anyone who identifies themselves as a newcomer and would like to make social connections with others, find community resources and learn more about local life is welcome to attend.

Newcomers who would like to share their own experiences with others are also encouraged to attend.
