Weekend itineraries: Winter arrived early
This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Sunridge Ski Area has been open for a few weeks, and they’re ready to welcome you to their winter playground! If you’re a snowboarder or skier, you definitely want to check out their runs and, if you’re brave enough, their terrain park. Their tubing park is a must-see if you want to have fun outside.  Â
New restaurant alert! Woodshed Burgers has opened a location inside The Golf Den on Ordze Road to serve, and they’re open to golfers and the public every day of the week. Don’t worry, you don’t have to golf if you don’t want to when you go to get the food. Check out their menu and specials on their social media and decide what you’re ordering this weekend.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year  … for shopping! Sherwood Park Mall is a great place to head if you’re looking to pick up gifts for the upcoming holiday. They have a range of stores for you to browse to give you inspiration for the hardest-to-buy for – you’re sure to find something! If you haven’t been feeling the holiday spirit yet, a visit with Santa Clause might be precisely what you need. Â
