Biography
In October 2010 Linton was elected to Council to represent Ward 6. He has been appointed to represent Council on the following committees:

- Beaver Hills Initiative
- Capital Region North East Water Services Commissions
- Capital Region Vegreville Corridor Water Services Commission - Alternate
- Pride of Strathcona Awards Selection Committee
- R.C.M.P. Community Advisory Committee
- Seniors Advisory Committee
- Subdivision Authority
- Subdivision & Development Appeal Board - Alternate
- Youth Advisory Committee - Alternate
During his time on Council, Linton has also served on the Energy Exploration Committee.
