Celebrating 30 years!
In 1987, Strathcona County Council approved the creation of its Art Collection to encourage and support local artists.
The members of the Art Collection Advisory Committee who are appointed by Council, are responsible for collecting artwork from local artists and displaying the artworks in County owned buildings and properties where possible and practical. They also provide guidance to the Public Art Program.
Presently, the Collection houses over 320 artworks including 43 works by youth and 36 public art pieces.
