A new spray park on the horizon for Ardrossan
June 7, 2017
Strathcona County residents are invited to provide feedback on the design of a new
Ardrossan Park and Spray Park through an open house and online questionnaire.
The open house takes place on Thursday, June 8 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Ardrossan Recreation Complex (80-1 Avenue, Ardrossan). For those unable to attend the open house, a questionnaire is also available online or by calling 780-467-2211. The questionnaire is open until June 15, 2017.
The decision to develop a new park and spray park in Ardrossan came out of the recommendations from the County’s Outdoor Aquatic Strategy. Developed in 2016, the strategy is based on resident feedback about outdoor aquatic facilities and desired amenities in Strathcona County.
The regional park will be developed on land located behind the Ardrossan Recreation Complex. Resident feedback will be used to develop the design this summer, with construction to begin in 2018.
