Election 2017 - Candidate Information Guide now available

The Election 2017 - Candidate Information Guide is now available for citizens considering running for office in the Strathcona County municipal election.
Information includes: duties and responsibilities of elected officials, remuneration and benefits, candidate qualifications, campaign requirements, nomination process, ward maps and other election details.
Nomination Day is September 18. Election Day is October 16.
Voters will elect the positions: Mayor, Councillors (8) for Strathcona County, and Board Trustees for Elk Island Catholic Schools and Elk Island Public Schools – all to serve a four-year term in office.

A paper copy of the guide can be picked up at the Election Office - 3rd Floor, North Tower, Community Centre, 401 Festival Lane in Sherwood Park.
