County to co-host Landowner Oil and Gas workshop

On March 2, 2017 Strathcona County and Lamont County are co-hosting a Landowner Oil and Gas Information Workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Heartland Hall, Strathcona County (55305 Range Rd. 214, south of Hwy 15 on Hwy 830). Workshop topics include a presentation on Surface Rights Board processes for landowners.

“It’s so important to provide area landowners with the opportunity to get current information and ask questions about topics that impact them,” said Strathcona County Energy Exploration Liaison Lori Mills.

The full day session includes a presentation by Alberta Agriculture on the Weed Act and oil and gas developments. Strathcona County will provide an overview of the County oil and gas review processes and related resources for landowners. There will also be a question period with presenters. The deadline to register for this free full-day workshop is February 27, 2017 at 4 p.m.
