Residents are invited to share their thoughts about responsible dog ownership as part of the County’s examination of its current Dog Control Bylaw (85-2006), which has been in place since 2006. There are currently over 13,000 dogs licensed in Strathcona County.

Strathcona County Council today received 2017 Budget recommendations for municipal operating and capital budgets. Budget 2017 reflects ongoing work to focus on community priorities and implement recently introduced priority-based budgeting (PBB) tools. The budget also identifies a number of efficiencies, based on a review of historical trends and application of the PBB tools.

On Thursday, December 8, the CP Holiday Train will pull into Josephburg, stopping at the Moyer Recreation Centre to raise money and food for local food banks. Decorated for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, the festive train will arrive at 5 p.m.
