Township Road 520 Upgrade - Final Lift Paving

ph-CPC-TR520Upgrade-Oct-14-15.jpg

The upgrading of Township Road 520 was completed in 2014, with the exception of the final lift of asphalt. Deferring the final application of asphalt allowed consolidation of the road base during the warranty period and when the final lift is in place, the resultant surface will be smoother.

Traffic impacts:

  • Traffic impacts are anticipated during May/June of 2016 for the final lift paving. The paving work is tentatively planned to start at the west end of the project limits, Highway 21, and move eastwards. During construction, one lane will remain open under flagperson control. All private accesses will be maintained.

Time line:

Spring 2016:

Placing the final lift of asphalt on Township Road 520 between Highway 21 and Highway 824 (Range Road 222) as well as line painting.
