Water is blue gold and a very precious resource. This resource is essential to our everyday lives. The amount of water available for human use is surprisingly low, considering the earth is covered by 70 per cent water.
Of the entire earth's water supply only three per cent is in fresh water. Of that three per cent only about half a per cent is available for human use.
The earth's water supply is constantly strained due to growing populations and continuing drought. It is important to take part in conserving our supply.
