On September 20, 2011 Strathcona County and the City of Edmonton hosted a workshop to help shape development of next steps for LID implementation in our communities and explore successful LID options for your next project.

The goals of the workshop were to:

- Develop next steps for LID implementation
- Design & Planning
- Operation & Maintenance
- Monitoring & Performance Assessment
- Challenges & Opportunities
- Costs & Financial Performance
- Vegetative Practices
- Presentations by experts on each session topic;
- Breakout sessions, with representation of individuals from diverse backgrounds at each table;
- Keynote speaker at lunch;
- Guided field trip to local LID projects
