Waste - Black Cart
Waste may be placed loose or in regular garbage bags inside your cart. Typically waste items are made from two or more different types of materials and are combined into one.
- air fresheners
- air filters
- aluminium foil
- bakeware (cookie sheets, muffin tins etc.)
- birth control and contraceptive products
- Bounce sheets
- bows and ribbons
- bricks
- broken glass (wrapped in paper)
- candles
- carbon paper
- carpet (must fit inside cart)
- caulking tubes
- CDs and DVDs (or bring to an Enviroservice event)
- ceramics and dishes
- cigarettes and ashes
- cleaning wipes
- clothing (not reusable)
- coffee cups, (soiled)
- contact lenses
- cosmetic containers
- cotton balls (soiled)
- crayonsdental floss
- disposable diapers and wipes

- dryer sheets drywall (must fit inside cart)
- elastic bands
- fabric
- feminine hygiene items
- flour bags (or any bag that has a lining)
- foil wrappers
- foam
- frozen juice cans
- furnace filters
- granola bar wrappers
- latex gloves
- latex products
- leather
- incandescent light bulbs
- magnets
- make-up remover pads
- matchbooks
- meat tray liners
- metal rods, coat hangers, etc.
- nails, screws, nuts, bolts, etc.
- needles
- non-recyclable packaging materials(those without a recycle symbol)
- ointment tubes
- paint cans, emptied or dried
- paper clips

If you have extra waste occasionally, you can take these materials to the Enviroservice event. A fee will apply.
Please note:If you have questions about what items are acceptable, call or view the A to Z list.
All waste must fit inside the cart with the lid closed. Materials left outside the cart will not be collected. Carts must weigh less than 90 kg or 200 lbs otherwise the cart cannot be lifted and emptied.
Make sure to put nothing but waste in the waste cart. If other items are included, the cart will not be emptied.
Extra waste carts are available for an additional monthly fee. Call for details.
