Your recycling collector works hard to make sure your weekly recycling collection is picked up. By following some of these tips listed below, you can help reduce the risk of injury to your recycling collector.
Packaging your recyclables
Make sure your blue bags bags are waterproof and are securely tied. This will help minimize leaks and spills.
- Broken glass, light bulbs and sharp metal (e.g. razor blades, sheet metal scraps, other sharp objects) are to go in your black waste cart
It's the law
Bylaw 11-2008 states that placing improper materials out for collection may be subject to a fine.
