Aggregate Levy

On June 30, 2009, Strathcona County Council approved the Aggregate Levy Bylaw 41-2009 authorizing the imposition of an Aggregate Payment Levy. This is now in effect.

Each year, all sand and gravel operations in Strathcona County must report their shipments, in tonnes, from each individual pit within the boundaries of the County, on a quarterly basis, within fourteen days after:

  • March 31
  • June 30
  • September 30
  • December 31

Submit the attached Sand and Gravel Shipments - Quarterly Report (with payment, if applicable) to:

Failure to submit the Quarterly Report will result in penalties as outlined in Schedule "B" of the Aggregate Levy Bylaw 41-2009
