Transfers
Sometimes your trip may require a transfer between different buses or services (LRT). Strathcona County Transit is pleased to work with our partners in Edmonton and St. Albert to help you reach your destination. The following is an explanation on how to transfer, please ask the operators if you have any questions.
Pass holders
Strathcona County Commuter pass holders can transfer between SCT, ETS and StAT without the need for any additional documentation, simply present your pass.
Edmonton Transit System (ETS) Passes and Tickets
When Strathcona County Transit (SCT) is travelling within the City of Edmonton, SCT accepts all ETS fare media except "Splash & Ride" passes.
For travel within Sherwood Park or from Sherwood Park to Edmonton all ETS fare products are valid within Sherwood Park, with a $1.00 surcharge for passes or $2.00 surcharge for tickets and transfers, except for ETS "Courtesy" Pass and our Seniors Monthly Pass. When presenting your ETS pass please request a transfer.
Cash fares or tickets
If travelling with cash fare or tickets, you will require a transfer slip.
Local transfers
If you are travelling within Sherwood Park, have paid cash or ticket fare and require more than one bus to reach your destination, please ask your operator for a local transfer. This transfer is valid for up to 90 minutes from the time you receive it. When boarding your next bus, present your transfer to the next operator.
Commuter transfers
SCT to ETS - If you are travelling to Edmonton from Sherwood Park and require more than one bus to reach your destination, please ask your operator for a commuter transfer. This transfer is valid for up to 90 minutes from the time you receive it. Strathcona County commuter transfers are valid on Edmonton Transit buses and LRT for up to 90 minutes.
ETS to SCT - If you are travelling from Edmonton to Sherwood Park using an Edmonton Transit transfer, please present your transfer and deposit $2.00 into the farebox. If using Strathcona County Transit within Edmonton, no additional fare is required.
SCT in Edmonton - If you are travelling on Strathcona County buses in Edmonton simply deposit your fare into the farebox. If you require a transfer to a local bus once you arrive in Strathcona County, please request a transfer from the operator when you board the bus.
StAT to SCT - If you are travelling from St. Albert to Sherwood Park using a St. Albert Transit commuter transfer, please present your transfer and deposit $2.00 into the farebox.
