Strathcona County has many parks and playgrounds that provide a place to enjoy a fresh air experience with your friends and family.
Playground safety
Play is an important part of your child's physical and emotional development. Safe play equipment and adult supervision are extremely important, but they only represent part of the safe equation. Take the time to talk to your children about playground safety. Supervise their play and remind them:
- Not to push or roughhouse while they are on the play equipment
- To take turns
- To use equipment safely and in an appropriate way
- To wash their hands after playing
