Strathcona County is committed to working toward a healthier environment. We encourage residents to practice simple steps to reduce the need for pesticides in lawn care.
Take a grass roots approach to your lawn care by following these Good Growing seasonal lawn care tips. Doing our part
Strathcona County is reducing the use of pesticides in its operations. Our turf maintenance system incorporates a combination of aeration, appropriate levels of fertilizer, spot spraying and continues to reduce use of herbicides and pesticides. Also, the County's Rural Roadside Vegetation program reduced pesticide use by 34 percent over four years.
Strathcona County is pleased to partner with the City of Edmonton to pass along Good Growing tips for a healthier yard and environment.
