Learn to be a healthier family in this FREE program

According to newly released data from the Canadian Health Measures Survey, only 9 per cent of boys and 4 per cent of girls meet the new Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines, and approximately 25 per cent of kids are overweight or obese.

MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do-it!) is offering two FREE program that will be run out of Millennium Place. MEND ages 7- 13 is for families who have obese or overweight children. MEND ages 2 - 4 is a program that teaches families healthy lifestyle choices.

MEND ages 2 - 4

  • Program is for 2 - 4 year olds and their family
  • Spend time playing with your child and learn new games
  • Take part in parent discussions while your child plays
  • Lean fun ways to introduce new foods and add variety and more!
MEND ages 7- 13
  • For families with 7 - 13 year olds who are above a healthy weight
  • Learn to be more fit, healthier and happier
  • Make new friends and feel confident while boosting your self esteem
  • Set goals to reach and maintain a healthy weight
  • Learn how to cook tasty and healthy meals
