Remove it

If the Graffiti is on your property, it's up to you to remove it.

Select the appropriate method for graffiti removal

Consider the type of surface the graffiti is on and how best to remove it. Here are some ways you can remove graffiti:

Paint
Painting over graffiti is a low-cost removal method for painted surfaces to match the paint to the surface. A patchwork of paint or a large block of different color invites more graffiti. If you are painting over a black graffiti on a white fence, the best way to get rid of the graffiti is to use a primer first. If your fence has been hit by graffiti, you can apply for a free Graffiti Removal Kit.

Chemical removal
Solvent works well to remove graffiti from most surfaces, including stucco, natural brick and cement. Be careful when using the solvent on a painted surface, since it can remove the original paint.

Power washing
Removes graffiti by applying water, usually hot, under pressure. Power washing may be used after applying a paint solvent to the graffiti area. An abrasive, such as baking soda, may also be added to the water to remove a thin layer of the surface, and with it, the graffiti.
