Land Use Bylaw 8-2001
Land Use Bylaw 8-2001 approved on July 10, 2001, regulates the use, conservation, and development of land, habitat, buildings, and signs in pursuit of the objectives of Strathcona County's statutory plans.
These objectives are to maintain and enhance the quality of life by providing opportunities to attain individual and community aspirations; to conserve and enhance the environmental quality in Strathcona County; and to foster planned, efficient, economical and beneficial development that provides a diversity of choice, lifestyle, and environment.
Land Use Bylaw review - Why are we reviewing the Land Use Bylaw?
In light of the growth and development in Strathcona County and with the adoption of a new Municipal Development Plan, it is time to review the Land Use Bylaw to ensure that it is aligned with our policy documents.
Amendments to Land Use Bylaw 8-2001 are added on a regular basis.
