The first step for this project is to engage you - our community. This visioning exercise will help us shape the direction of future growth and development in Ardrossan. Together we can ensure the vision best represents the values of the community!

What is an Area Structure Plan?
An Area Structure Plan (ASP) is a long-term planning document that guides growth and development for the hamlet over the next 10 to 15 years.

Why Review the Area Structure Plan?
Strathcona County adopted a new Municipal Development Plan (MDP) in 2007. The MDP is our primary planning document providing for comprehensive long-term land use policy framework. Ardrossan was identified in the MDP as a major growth hamlet.

Through the 2011 Capital Budget process, Strathcona County Council identified funding for the construction of a sanitary sewer line to Ardrossan.  This line will accommodate future growth in Ardrossan that has been limited in the past.
