Strathcona County 2010 Election - Monday, October 18, 2010
Hours of work: 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Verify that voters are in the correct voting station using a Ward boundary map
- Provide voters with Voting Register for completion
- Assist with the set-up and closure of the voting station
- Other duties as required by the Presiding Deputy – Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Previous experience as an election worker is an asset
- Demonstrated good oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to read maps
- Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
- Must be physically able to assist electors in wheelchairs
- Must be able to arrange your own transportation to and from the voting station
The wage for this Election Day position is $175.
