We are seeking a Recreation Programmer, Preschool to join our team.
The position has the following responsibilities:
- ensure high quality preschool programming opportunities exist for Strathcona County residents and community groups
- recruit, interview, schedule, develop, supervise and evaluate preschool instructors and volunteers
- ensure the delivery of quality programs that adhere to government standards, department policies and professional regulations
- implement, monitor and evaluate programs and services to ensure customer needs are being met
- assist with the development and management of the annual budget to maximize revenue and recover costs
- assist with the preparation of statistical reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
- investigate and courteously respond to program and service inquiries and concerns
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- university degree or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Development, Education or Recreation
- experience in a leadership role
- three years experience in a supervisory position and in a programming capacity
- strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent customer service and public relation abilities
- proficiency in Microsoft software, specifically Excel and Word
- the ability to meet various deadlines in a constantly changing service environment
- a high level of creativity and flexibility
- a valid class five driver's licence
- Standard First Aid and CPR
The hourly salary range for this permanent full-time position is $27.04 to $33.80 working 40 hours per week.
