Outdoor Rink Attendant

Seasonal, Part-time
The Outdoor Rink Attendants may work at one or all of Sherwood Park’s four outdoor rink buildings; Kinsmen, Sherwood Heights, Brentwood and the Strathcona Athletic Park.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the safe and orderly conduct of recreational skaters
- Monitor daily skater statistics
- Operate walk behind snow blowers when needed
- Monitor ice conditions and perform manual tasks such as snow shoveling, ice edging and cleaning
- Perform building cleaning procedures as required
- Assist Winter Operation parks crew when required
The successful candidates will have the following:
- First Aid / CPR certificate
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
- WHMIS Certificate
- Perform duties in inclement weather, with possible exposure to severe weather conditions
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
The hourly wage range is $16.05 to $16.67 working part-time hours in these shifts:
- 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weeknights
- 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends and holidays
