If your greatest strength in administrative support roles is your ability to work with legal agreements and Land Titles registrations, then you’ll thrive as a Land Documentation Specialist in our Land Management Services area.  Your success will come from your keen interest in working with documentation for encroachments and licensing of roads, public utility lots, reserves and utility rights of ways.  This is the chance you’ve always wanted to apply your skills in a part time position.

Responsibilities:

  • receive and review statements respecting compliance or complaints of encroachments onto County property interests
  • administer the land-licensing program for licensing of public utility lots, roads and reserves including executing legal agreements and registering them at Land Titles
  • compile documentation for  advertising/tendering of public reserves, receive bids and prepare related correspondence or agreements
  • prepare and/or register Land Titles caveats for Sewer and Rural Water Agreements \

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, a Para-legal Assistant Certificate, a Commissioner for Oaths with three to five years of working with legal agreements and Land Titles registrations.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • strong working knowledge of micro-computers and relevant programs including Word, Excel, AS 400 System and GIS
  • sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.49 to $29.36 per hour working 17.5 hours/week.
