Human Resources Administrator (One Year Temporary)

We are looking for your superb organizational and interpersonal communication skills to provide administrative assistance for an attractive array of employee development and employee family assistance initiatives. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Organize information sessions, special events and programs such as “Lunch and Learns”, employee recognition and leadership program completion ceremonies
- Organize the Corporate Orientation for new employees
- Provide single-source coordination for corporate employee learning and development activities including scheduling sessions and facilitators, organizing registrations and setting-up training rooms
- Search for topics, speakers and information related to learning and development, and, employee and family assistance
- Ensure website content, print and promotional materials are continually refreshed to reflect the diversity of opportunities available to employees
- Create and maintain administrative work flow processes to track program costs, pay invoices, monitor budget allocations and provide assistance to the Employee Development Advisor and the Manager, Employee and Family Assistance Program and Staff Development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and five years of directly related experience. Municipal experience is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and public relations skills
- Well developed skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic records management systems
- Sound knowledge of general office procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
The hourly wage rate for this temporary position is $21.84 - $27.30, working 35 hours per week.
