Facility Supervisor
County Hall and Community Centre
Facility Services

Reporting to the Director of Facility Services, this position will ensure facilities operate within Provincial standards for health, safety and operating guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • monitor facility mechanical, electrical, fire, safety and security systems ensuring required maintenance is carried out
    • supervise an operational team and all contracted services including janitorial, security, elevator and mechanical and electrical sub trades.; ensure compliance with service agreements and maintenance standards
    • facilitate opportunities for customer feedback to formulate staff training and product and service development
    • provide excellent customer service by being pro-active in response to internal and external client inquiries
    • implement and monitor the parkade and street level parking program ensuring parking equipment and enforcement procedures are in place and functioning
    • develop, control and meet facility budgets for expenses and revenue generation; examine processes and services to increase efficiency and/or capitalize on revenue generation opportunities

Qualifications

  • a degree in business management and/or RPA, CFM, FMA designation, with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in managing a real property portfolio of a minimum of 150,000 square feet; direct experience in facility systems maintenance is desirable
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills to lead and motivate an operational team and understand and meet customers needs
  • excellent communication and organization and management skills
  • contract management skills required to develop, mentor and manage facility based contract work
  • strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) as well as building management systems (BMS), computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and financial software (RIS)

The annual salary range for this permanent position is $73,332 to $91,666, working 40 hours per week.
