Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for young children
- Diapering and providing snacks to children.
- Provide age appropriate activities such as crafts, toys, songs and games
- Check for proof of payment, record the number of guests and maintain childcare worker to child ratios.
- Engage guests by asking questions, actively listening and providing options that will assist them to have an enjoyable experience
- Provide first aid to guests and assist in emergency situations
- Follow safe work practices
Qualifications:
- Ability to interact positively with guests using strong listening and verbal communication skills
- Good physical condition to perform active supervision and some manual labour
- Ability to visually monitor a large area with active participants
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Child Welfare check
- Previous experience in caring for young children.
The hourly rate is $15.75 to $19.69, working part-time hours in a variety of shifts which include hours during the day, evenings, weekends and holidays.
