Responsibilities:

  • prepare the Centre for use by ensuring the buildings, rooms and site are clean, safe and set-up according to customer needs
  • perform weekly, monthly and seasonal cleaning maintenance duties
  • check in and check out Centre rental groups
  • communicate with other Centre staff to ensure that operating and customer concerns, including safety issues, are addressed
  • understand and carry out operational procedures for building and site emergencies, injury accidents, mechanical checks and failures, set-ups and maintenance duties
  • perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • a minimum of a grade 12 education with experience in facility cleaning and maintenance
  • excellent public relations and communication skills
  • the ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment
  • preferred standard first aid and CPR; training will be provided if necessary
  • a valid class five driver’s license

The hourly wage range for this year-round part-time position is $15.30 to $19.12, working an average of 12 to 18 hours per week, with regular Monday and Friday shifts and a variety of weekday, evening, weekend and statutory holiday shifts.
