Public Safety Education

Preventing an unsafe situation is as important to us as teaching you what to do in the event of an emergency.

There are a number of public safety education learning opportunities available to residents and businesses in Strathcona County including:

  • First Aid courses (St. John Ambulance curriculum)
  • CPR courses (Heart and Stroke Foundation curriculum)
  • Fire Safe Facility program (aimed at business owners)
  • At Home by Yourself (aimed at 10 - 12 years being left at home alone for the first time. Groups of 10 or more).
  • Home safety visits (must be scheduled in advance. Appointments are available every Tuesday evening.)
  • Hazard house presentations (groups of 8 or more)
  • Home safety presentations
