Do I need a fire permit?

It's easy to apply!

  1. Read and agree that you understand the Burning Regulations
  2. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions
  3. Complete and submit the Fire Permit Application
  4. Within 24 hours of submitting your application you will receive an e-mail confirming your permit or stating why your application was refused.

Fire permits are valid from date of approval to December 31 of that particular calendar year (unless a shorter period is requested by the applicant). Applications received in the month of December may also be approved for the entire following calendar year and would become valid on January 1 of that year.

In order to obtain a Fire Permit through this website, you must own or occupy the property. Otherwise you will need to apply in person with written permission from the owner to obtain a Fire Permit.

You are equally responsible for fires and their consequences whether you obtain a Fire Permit in person or online. Be sure you read and understand the regulations and conditions that apply to your permit.

Any information you submit in order to obtain a Fire Permit will be treated according to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act. Personal information will not be used for purposes other than those related to the Fire Permit process without your permission.
