Pipelines
Strathcona County is Canada’s largest hub of petroleum product pipelines. The start of Enbridge Pipeline Inc. world’s longest and most sophisticated crude oil and petroleum products pipeline systems is located within the refinery road area of Sherwood Park. Edmonton Area Pipeline and Utility Operators’ Committee consists of over 30 pipeline operators, utility or organizations, municipalities and regulator agencies. This not-for-profit association promotes safety around buried pipelines and cables, and maintains a communication network in case of an emergency.

Service by rail is provided by both CN and CP rail who offer competitive rates.

Tourism Operators
Tourism Highway Signing Incentive and Rebate Program
Alberta Transportation is providing a one-time incentive and rebate for tourism operators to convert existing brown and white signs to the new blue and white format so as to meet standards common to North America.
