Graffiti on utility box or mailbox

Graffiti on utility boxes is the responsibility of the utility company for removal as the cabinets are considered private property. The County is not permitted to paint over private property. Please note the sticker on the side of the cabinet and report directly to the company on their "Contact Us" page. Please indicate in your County Connect request if you have already notified the utility company. Alternatively, we will notify the company to request removal. Some utility companies send out a contractor to paint right away, and some collect a list of locations and go out once or twice per year. Painting is dependent upon the weather (i.e. no painting is done in the winter). We also have graffiti wipes available to use on hard surfaces, such as mailboxes, that we are able to hand out to our residents.

When you see graffiti in your neighbourhood report it - twice:

  • Report It to Recreation, Parks and Culture and submit a photo of the graffiti along with the exact location.
  • Call the RCMP's non-emergency line, 780-467-7741.

Personal information is collected under the authority of section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used for managing and administering your transaction with the County Connect Service Tracking System.
